THE EYE OF ABYDOS

The Eye of Abydos is the official name for the constitution of the region of Abydos, and serves as the most supreme law of this region and any other region in which Abydos may own or occupy.

The Eye of Abydos was first proposed to the Abydos Conclave on December 8, 2018, and was ratified by the Conclave on [DATE] and signed by our third Grand Luxarch Ancient Greek Kingdoms on [DATE]. The Eye, as it is often referred to, stands today as the first official constitution of Abydos, and the only one ever to have been adopted in full.

Conditions of Agreement
Because of the nature of this document, all nations in Abydos, whether new or old are bound by the Conditions of Agreement, or Article 1, Section 3 of the Eye of Abydos:

§1.3. Conditions of Agreement
We shall consider residency of nation or account, regardless of citizenship or class status, anywhere within the jurisdiction of the region of Abydos as an agreement of recognition and consent to this Eye of Abydos for all. Those who do not hold agreement with, or object to the Eye of Abydos may voluntarily withdraw from agreement through the removal of their presence in all Abydos jurisdictions, forfeiting any class, work, status, office, or privilege.

This section is vital, as  it automatically assumes that you have read and understood the Eye of Abydos in full upon moving to the region, and are thus accountable by law to the Eye of Abydos, and the legal system the region has through the residency of your nation or account here. All nations are strongly encouraged to familiarize yourself with the law, and ask questions and explore the various legal systems, as well as participate and begin crafting your own future with the region.

             THE THIRTEEN                       ABYDOS AXIOMS

These Thirteen Abydos Axioms were composed by Grand Luxarch Zyris on the day of our founding, March 26, 2018 to stand as our founding principles for all time, and is the only pseudo-legal document to not be allowed to be changed, denounced, ignored, or otherwise disgraced without punishment of demotion or ejection.

       CORPUS JURIS ABYDI
            LEGAL LIBRARY

The Corpus Juris Abydi is the legal library for the region of Abydos and represents the sum of laws ratified in the region. Every law is listed in chronological order to provide a complete historical account of the happenings in Abydos. Abydos has two forms of legislation, the law and the decree. A law is a piece of legislation which has been voted upon favorably by a majority of the Scribes in the Conclave, and has been ratified by the signature of the High Priest. A decree is a piece of legislation signed by the Grand Luxarch and is used to execute the law and carry out commands within the jurisdiction allowed.
